INCITS Adoption of Cybersecurity Standards as U.S. Standards

At INCITS, we are proud to announce that we have adopted internationally developed standards in JTC 1/SC 27, Cybersecurity and Privacy, that have been created with the participation of U.S. experts. This decision is aimed to further demonstrate our support of global standards that are created with the input of experts from around the world. By adopting these standards, we are demonstrating our support for international cooperation and also ensuring that we are at the forefront of industry best practices. We look forward to the benefits these standards may bring to your organization and the industry as a whole.

INCITS adopts most ISO/IEC or ISO standards and technical reports/specifications that fall within its program of work as “Identical” American National Standards in accordance with the ANSI “Expedited Procedures for the Identical Adoption of an ISO or IEC standard as an American National Standard”.

What does this mean for you?

When INCITS adopts an international standard or registers an international technical report/specification, INCITS makes these documents available at discount of the international version.  These new American National Standards should be available for purchase soon via the ANSI webstore using the designation noted below.

** AS A REMINDER all published INCITS cybersecurity related standards and cybersecurity retail bundles are 20% off the regular price during the month of October!

Thank you to all the experts that participated in the development of these standards.
