Both government and commercial customers can benefit from this cooperative effort, including customers that must comply with standards and legislation such as HSPD-12, FIPS 201, FFIEC, HIPAA, Patriot Act, and Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, 21CFRPart11. "BIO-key's support of AuthenTec's innovative swipe sensors, including those delivered by AuthenTec through the wide portfolio of OEM customers, along with our device interoperability capability will be a major catalyst in the adoption of fingerprint-based logical access controls throughout the enterprise," said Charles (Bud) Yanak, VP Marketing of BIO-key. "A key benefit BIO-key software delivers is our ability to utilize a single fingerprint enrollment for a wide array of identity management applications such as large scale ID credentialing solutions as well as physical and logical access systems" he continued. Systems integrators, solution providers, OEM customers and end-customers are encouraged to contact either AuthenTec or BIO-key representatives to find out how to extend their fingerprint device or laptop computer that incorporates AuthenTec EntrePad or FingerLoc sensors for use in enterprise applications.
